Chester Lake

Rating: 4 of 5
Species: Cutthroat Trout, Dolly Varden
Last Visited: 2006

Chester Lake Alberta

Chester Lake is a very popular spot for hikers and fishermen. As you can see from the picture it has some Larches speckled around the area. The water is clear and sight fishing is possible when calm.

The cutthroat in this lake were medium in size. I caught nothing over 13"
Dolly Varden Alberta

I find this lake interesting because it’s the only one with Dolly Varden in Alberta. It took me several hours to catch one. They seemed to be in the south west corner of the lake on the day I visited.
